GUIDELINES

• Clients will be asked to provide reference images and/or a brief description of their envisioned project result in order to act as a guideline prior to the commencement of the actual design phase (applies to emotes, badges, logos, or illustrations).

• Providing a bullet-point list of key elements that you would like to see in the final result is a good approach to help provide a framework for the artist to work with.

• Remember that Copyrighted content cannot be used for resale. If you would like to use characters from pop culture or media within your design, you may do so for personal use only. You are solely responsible for securing the proper rights for any content that is created for resale.

PAYMENT

​

• Emotes, Badges, and Logos: Payment must be received in full before the commission starts.

• Illustrations, Portraits & Character Designs: Payment may be done in parts:
  a) 20% of the initial quote as a deposit to kickstart the work once the project scope has been agreed upon.
  b) 40% of the initial quote once the client is happy with the result (after 2nd revision & review with the artist)
  c) The full balance remaining (including additional charges for revisions etc.) must be paid in order to receive the final illustration.

• An extra design fee applies to those who provide no reference images of the subject and would like the drawing to be created from scratch with only a description or an indirect collage of photographs.

• Although standard pricing will normally apply, for very elaborate designs, keep in mind that the complexity of the subject might affect the final price.

• All quotes are valid for a period of 30 days. Pricing may be subject to change. 

 

 

RULES GOVERNING USE

• Commissions are for personal, non-commercial use by the customer. The product (artwork) created cannot be sold or used on merchandise for resale.

• Emotes, Badges, Logos, or Illustrations are permitted to be used on your streaming platform (including Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Trovo); on Discord; on your background, banners, wallpaper, icons; and on all of your social media platforms.

• Artwork may be printed for personal use only, and may not be sold for monetary gain.

• Artwork may not be changed, altered, or edited in any way without the express written consent of the artist. Please contact the artist if changes are required.

REVISIONS

​

• There are unlimited revisions during the concept and sketching phase (within reason). Once a sketch has been approved and has moved on to final production, only minor revisions will be accepted. 

• For illustrations/portraits/character designs - If major changes are required after the sketch is in final production, an additional 50% of the quoted price will be charged. 

• Major changes to emotes/badges/logos are not possible once in final production. Such changes would require the purchase of a new emote/badge/logo.

• Error-Free Guarantee -> If the artist makes a clear error in final production, there will be no charge to correct it. The customer is responsible for pointing-out any such errors within 15 days of delivery of the final product. 

• The rate for any extra modifications or corrections not included in the terms of the original commission/project is $25/hr CAD. Estimates for additional hourly work will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.

DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES

​

• Standard: 

  • Emotes/Badges/Logos -> 5-10 calendar days 

  • Illustrations/Portraits/Character Designs -> 14-30 calendar days 

• Rush: 

  • Rush orders are subject to availability - please contact the artist first to confirm scheduling.

  • For an additional 50% of the package price, your commission will be added to a priority list, and delivery timeframes will be guaranteed as follows:

    • Emotes/Badges/Logos -> 3-5 calendar days 

    • Illustrations/Portraits/Character Designs -> 7-14 calendar days

EXCEPTIONS

​

• The artist will not do commissions for the following genres: Mecha, Armor, Gore, or anything NSFW.

• The artist will not produce verbatim copies of other artists’ artwork.

• The artist will not give or sell any editable files (PS or AI files) under the current package terms. Contact JayKay Graphics for more information if necessary.

ARTIST CREDIT & PROMOTION

​

• Although not required, proper credit back to "jaykaygraphics.com" when your commission is displayed would be appreciated!

• Work on commissioned pieces may be streamed live by the artist for promotional purposes. Please notify the artist if you are uncomfortable with this prior to any payment. (A notice will be given to the customer if your commission will be live-streamed).

• JayKay Graphics holds the rights over all artwork created (including, but not limited to, the right to promote said artwork in galleries, use for publicity, prints, graphics, portfolio, or similar).

REFUNDS

​

• Payments made for all services rendered (in-full or in-part) are non-refundable. 

• Refund/Credit will only be made under the following exceptional conditions: 

a) The client wishes to upgrade their package prior to the work commencing -> Existing payments made will be credited toward the upgrade.

b) The artist, at their sole discretion, has decided to cancel a commissioned project prior to its commencement.
